How time flies and it caught me by surprise while trying to get some details from the "Home-Team" website, I encountered that there is a "npccalumni". I have lost contact with all my friends and fellow cadets of NPCC. NPCC prepared me in a way before I got enlisted for National Service, where I served as Guardsman. If anyone happen to be from Boon Lay Secondary School during my time, please do not hesitate to drop me a line or two to keep in touch. If God could grant me a wish, I wish to be back in the school. I miss the good old days and always remember what my late parents use to tell me, and that is - "Today's Youth Are Tomorrow's Aged" and with this, I wish each and everyone a good health and happiness. I would like to take this moment to remember my fallen fellow C/I Wilson Poh formerly of East Payoh Sec School, then Tanjong Katong Sec School and lastly of 3rd Singapore Guards Regiment. C/I Wilson Poh perished in s helicopter crash in 1987 after a prolonged overseas tour as permanent staff in our SAF training base somewhere deep in Brunei; I was the last former C/I, former Pre-U schoolmate and fellow officer-in-arms to see Wilson alive. I take this moment to remember a true friend, a dedicated NPCC cadet inspector and a fellow Officer worthy of my deepest respect. Hormt senjata, Wilson! God bless you. Raymond Low C/I Batch of 1981.

Just happened to be surfing and stumbled upon this NPCC Alumni Website. I was a sergeant with the FTP unit 1972-1974 Very interesting to see some very rare and old photographs of the Telok Paku Campsite. Makes good memory lane. Will be good to have an exhibition of some sort and perhaps can also raise funds from the "Old Boys". Just thinking aloud whether NPCC HQ can help to secure more old photographs of the early 70s both from HQ and perhaps the schools. Will be a very interesting exhibition.

The NPCC Alumni organised a visit to the Police K-9 Unit at Mowbray Road on Wednesday, 6 Sep 2007, which was a school holiday.

This visit was part of a community service project where 14 children from the Chen Su Lan Home were invited together with 9 other children from the alumni's members.

10 adult members were also present to accompany the children; making a total of 33 participants.

The visit commenced with a briefing by our guide,Mr Ram, who introduced us to the K-9 unit and the purpose of the dogs, their duties and capabilities. After the performance by the dogs on obedience and other skills, we toured the premises; visiting the training stations and kennels. The children had the opportunity to mingle with some of the dogs and also taking pictures with them. They are all very thrilled by the experience.

Finally the participants were treated to a full lunch sponsored by Dr Georgia Lee, a friend of Winnie Woon.

We would like to thank Siew Lea for arranging such a sumptuous spread of food for us.

The children were also given goodie-bags prepared by the alumni. Some of the items are sponsored by our members.

Also would like to thank Teo Chun Liang who had bought souvenir key chains for the children from Chen Su Lan Home.

The weather was really kind to us on that day. All of us had a whale of time and we are sure the children will remember this trip for a long time to come.

We appreciate Winnie's effort in co-ordinating with the Chen Su Lan Home pertaining to this visit and also in getting the sponsorship of $400 from Dr Georgia Lee for the lunch.

We would also like to thank Chua Siew Lea and Kester Tan for buying, arranging, packing and delivering the goodie-bags and also the NPCC Alumni for paying for the bus transport, and all other incidental and miscellaneous expenses.

Last but not least to all participants, helpers, and especially those who took leave from work for making this such as successful and enjoyable trip.

    Kindest regards,
    OSS

The recent concluded Golf Funds Raising Event for the NPCC OEP on 31 August 2007 was a great success! Mayor Teo Ho Pin(our Ex-CI) was the Guest-of-Honour. It ended with a sumptious 8-course dinner with everyone having a good time. Almost everyone returned home with a lucky draw prize. This event managed to raise an amount of about $15,000 which will definietly be a boost to the NPCC OEP project. Thanks to the generous sponsorships.

Also a big thank you to the working committee and volunteers who had put in lots of effort in planning and organising this event leaving no stone unturn - Gn Chiang Huat(chairman), Tan Gwee Khiang, Cindy Lim, Kester Tan(Secretary-the most hard working), Chua Siew Lea, Wendy Ong and Winnie Woon.

Looking forward to more supports from the members and well wishers in coming activities.

Anyone with ideas of funds raising for NPCC as well as for the alumni is most welcome.

    CHEERS to the NPCC Alumni!

Wow, I've just realised there's a NPCC Alumni while surfing the SPF website. Will email my SNGS NPCC friends to check this out! We still organise reunions even after 10 years. It would be good if more publicity is done to get ex-NPCC students to sign up for events. Would love to sign up for events like 'Revolver Shoot' if it's approved! Passed by the Old Police Academy on last Friday. Remember with nostalgia the good old days when we had to march in the parade square, take the 0.22 revolver test for the shooting badge, participate in campcraft and shooting competitions...

I would like to say a BIG HELLO to all ex-cadets, officers and instructors during my time with the NPCC; from Zhonghua Secondary School (1985-1989) to Cadet Inspectors Trainees (December 89), St Hilda's Secondary School (1991 to 1992) and not forgetting the Tableau Contigents of NPCC Day (1990 to 1992). I know not all may see this message but I just want to say thanks for all the memories. And to the NPCC Alumni, kudos for a job well done. I will keep coming back. Cheers, everyone!!

CONGRATULATION ON THIS NEW WEB-SITE! It's excellent and thanks to the great effort by Teo Chun Liang. My appreciation also to Kek Joon Kee(now in Taiwan) for his wonderful past websites which was updated regularly.Just want to let all know that I have made lots of friends of all walk of life in the alumni besides meeting old friends and am glad that I still have the link with NPCC.I encourage all ex-NPCC members who read this website to join the NPCC alumni - for old time sake and for an opportunity to serve back our dear NPCC again.

I am sorry for the shutting down of NPCC Alumni's temporary website in homex.coolconnect.com since 31 Dec 2002. Nevertheless, I am very sure that this Alumni's offical website would be even much better due to the great effort and contribution of Chun Liang and his supporting team. Thank you for the passion in NPCC!!!

Hi,finally there is an offical website for the NPCC Alumni, but there is some mistake regarding the link, as the Nanyang Poly link should be Nanyang Girls, and not Nanyang Poly. If i am wrong, I am sorry for that.
