Kek Joon Kee

Kek Joon Kee joined Dunman High NPCC Unit in 1978. He became a cadet inspector in 1982, posted to Anglican High School and subsequently, Dunman High School. He was also a qualified first-aider in St. John Ambulance Association and a canoeing instructor in the then People's Association Adventure Club. He involved in various outdoor activities with the NPCC Adventure Squad of Dunman High since 1982, and they are still meeting each other for more than 20 years.

Kek Joon Kee graduated from Singapore Polytechnic, Glasgow University, and National University of Singapore in mechanical engineering. His main research areas include elastic-plastic fracture mechanics, metal matrix composite materials and mechanical alloying.

Kek Joon Kee started his career in 1990 as a design engineer in Ordnance Development & Engineering (which became a subsidiary of ST Kinetics in 1999) where he belonged to the Large Calibre Weapon Group. He was also working in Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation of Taiwan, and involving with the manufacturing of EC120 lightweight helicopters since 2000 for almost five years. He is now an aircraft structure engineer and entrepreneur.

Kek Joon Kee passed-out as an Armoured Recce Officer during his full-time national service in the Army. He has subsequently held various command and staff appointments as an operationally ready NSman in an Armoured Infantry Brigade during his tour of national service.

Kek Being a founding member of the NPCC Alumni, he involved in the membership sub-committee until he left to Taiwan in February 2000. He also helped to maintain a temporary website for the Alumni before Chun Liang started this official homepage.

Kek Joon Kee enjoys the quality time being together with his family.
