Leng Kiat joined Bartley NPCC in 1994 and currently an Honorary Officer in the same Unit. He represented the Unit in the NPCC Annual Parade in 1996 and School Official Opening Ceremony in 1997 as Guard-of-Honour. During his Cadet Inspector's times while serving in Bartley, Leng Kiat was also part of the pro-tem committee with a group of CIs, to set up SP-NPCC - the first Polytechnic to have NPCC. He was awarded the "Friends of the School Award - NPCC" by Bartley Sec Sch in 2000, 2004 and 2007. Currently, other than NPCC's involvement at the Unit and Area level, he is also serving the Aljunied Youth Executive Committee as Vice Chairman.
