Sharon Lee joined the NPCC unit in 1969 and was involved in many NPCC activities. She left Raffles Girls’ Secondary School NPCC unit as a Cadet Inspector in 1974.
Her initial intention was to join the Girl Guides but her dad encouraged her to join the NPCC. Since then, she has never regretted joining the NPCC. The NPCC has helped her develop qualities of character, discipline, leadership, courage and comradeship. She was involved in several National events such as the National Day Parades, Singapore Youth Festival & Police Week Parades. In addition, she has participated in Shooting competitions and Footdrill competitions, several outdoor camps, etc. It was truly memorable and enjoyable during her years in the NPCC. Sharon is a Roman Catholic and she is also serving in her church as a Lector and Hospitality Minister. Be it family, work, NPCC or church, Sharon strives to do her utmost, clearly exemplifying the qualities NPCC inspectors are inculcated in. Although her current role in the HR department with a Biopharmaceutical company is demanding, her passion in the NPCC has not deterred her from serving the NPCC Alumni. She has been voted into the Management Committee as a Hon Secretary and she hopes to contribute to the growth of the Alumni. |
