Winnie Woon joined Raffles Girls' Secondary NPCC Unit in 1973 to 1976.
She enjoyed her years in NPCC very much. Her squad was then Champion in the footdrill competition; with the commander awarded the Best Commander. They were also champion in the shooting competition. She completed the NPCC Cadet Inspector's Course in 1977 (First Batch). Thereafter was attached to First Toa Payoh Secondary School and Uma Pulavar Tamil School. She had participated in the National Day Parade, Youth Festival Parade , NPCC Annual Parade, and the Road Safety Event organised by the Singapore Police Force. In the midst of her busy schedule as a business woman, she is also an active volunteer with the Chen Su Lan Methodist Children's Home and is 1st VP 2008/2009 of Lions Club of Singapore Sentosa. She also organises visits for the children from the Home to Police K9 Unit. Her passion for the NPCC Alumni has seen her recruiting many new members for the Alumni which includes Dr Teo Ho Pin, Mayor of North West CDC. Her vision for the NPCC Alumni is 'Unity, Growth and Service' . |
